One-Week Stand: a short film
A free-spirited, mysterious woman on a week-long trip to San Francisco meets a hopeless romantic woman, born and raised in San Francisco. After a bit of flirtation, the first woman proposes a deal: she can get a tour guide, and in exchange, she’ll be the other’s girlfriend.
Seven days. No commitment, no exchanging information, no pictures, and a clean break. Can they make it through the week with their hearts still intact by the end of it?

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

2022 was a tough year for sapphics in the media. We had some of our favorite couples break up, our shows cancelled, or our favorites broke up and their show got cancelled before they could get back together. A fan favorite character even died in the last minute of the entire series. I wanted to create a film worthy of queer celebration. We deserve some wins.
What's even more special about this film is not only the representation that we see on-screen, but the representation that went on behind the camera as well. All of our crew members were people of color, a majority were non-male-identifying, and a little less than half were all queer. In a white, cishet male-dominated industry, I wanted to give everyone the chance to gain experience on a film set. In the end, I believe that the extra effort that went into seeking out bipoc and women was worth it. I truly could not have asked for a better cast and crew and I am honored for the opportunity to have worked with them.
